Pull up a seat in this dark & cozy bar and make sure you save room for an old fashioned or two.
I came here for a friend's birthday and I loved everything they offered. It was very crowded though to go on a weekend. Weekdays are better. I give this place an 8. It was okay
A local bar. The workers here are nice. The space is not that that big hug a good place to get a drink if your around the area. It's not a crowded place.
Chill environment – Pretty busy 4 a monday night. good service, fair prices plus karaoke. i dont sing but watching tipsy people act like it was american idol made for an enjoyable night.
Fantasyland-esque meets Smokey the Bear – You feel like a kid in a candystore or a scout on a camping trip when you come to Bigfoot's Lodge.
Give me a break – If you like your bars tacky, your girls trashy and your beer week, here's the bar for you.
Loud, empty, theme-bar in Los Feliz.
awesome place, little watery though – amazing atmosphere, dark and cozy, excelent music. The Bartenders are super friendly, the waitresses are very cute with there scout 'uniforms'. One of there signature drinks 'the girlscout martini' is amazing...
the only downside to this place is that they are pretty watery on there mixed drinks. I stick to beer at this place, or one of the signature drinks they are 'proud of'. If your looking for amazingly strong mixed drinks for the same price go to the Gryphon, its within walking distance down the street. Different atmosphere, but if you order a rum and coke the coke is just there for color, know what im sayin?
Fun decor, very weak drinks – I was looking forward to checking this place out. When I arrived I thought the decor was great and it had a fun vibe. I ordered a Seven & Seven and it was awful. Very weak pour and over priced. My second drink was just as weak as the first. Bigfoot Lodge gets over crowded very quickly and it is a pain in the rear to get a drink at the bar. Do yourself a favor and either pre party before you go so you don't waste too much money on the bad drinks or stick to beer which they can't water down.
Hipsters High Hipsters Low Hipsters On The Ceiling GO! – I started going there years ago. It's a super place but can get a little crowded at peak times. Karoke Mondays are cool. Stop,Revolt. played there once when they still had bands. I like National Forest themes.
Great bar – I love to meet a large group of friends here. It's busy but not too crowded, the staff is fun, and the drinks are strong. One of my fave bars in LA
A place to unwind – Comfortable atmosphere, not too crowded or too hip, but hip enough with good music, excellent decor and good drinks. The staff is friendly and easygoing. Vaguely reminds me of something from David Lynch's Twin Peaks.
good crowd, non pretentious, good music, and prices – I came here before moving to Los Angeles and really felt at ease. Nice friendly folks. Check out the website for theme nights. Good drinks and fair prices.
The absloute tops – interesting non-pretentious people. hot dudes that look like morrissey with tattoos and hot rods. the music is fantastic. punk and rock. all the things I have on my ipod. there isn;t a dance floor, but people tend to get down anyways.
Super cute bar - in a good way – I went there because the crowd at the Derby was too much like something I would find at Forbidden City or Ivar. I love Silver Lake and Atwater but I never knew this place existed. It looks like a hole in the wall but then you walk in and there's a raccoon playing peek-a-boo from a log and you see this place that is themed out! There is a real cute fireplace with little log stumps for chairs and the fireplace is actually a vent for the a/c. The drinks were good, prices were moderate, and the crowd was a great mixed group of people. The music was good too and it wasn't too loud so that you couldn't hold a conversation. Even though it was a Saturday night and there were tons of people seating wasn't difficult to find and waiting for drinks wasn't bad. Only bad thing was that I don't think they have a smoking patio so you had to walk out and smoke and walk back in.
Pretty Rad – This place is pretty rad! I live close by so I just walk on over. The drinks are great especially the specialty drinks and they're well-priced. Just get there early on the weekends because seating is limited.
Great Theme and Fun – I visited here from NY and it had a great theme and decor. It had a Vermont inn feel and there was seating. The crowd seemed mix and the music variety was good. The bartender was working it as well. Fun place, check it out. It's something out of the ordinary.
Best bar to relax in – Well when I first ventured to the bigfoot lodge I was a little skeptical due to the fact that we might encounter a whole lot of trendies from LA. Well to my shock this is the opposite of the LA scene. The first time I went there I was amazed to see all walks of life in this bar. The workers are the the best I have encountered at a bar. The atmosphere of this local is cozy and so relaxing. You can just sit and chill with you best friends. To top it off the drinks are excellent. I recomend the their entire specialty drink menu I have tried them all and loved them. I recomend the sasquach but you wont remember the rest of the night. Another great experience is the bingo night on Sundays. A free bingo game where the prizes are free booze or a prize. Before you know it, it will be last call cause you are having to much fun. I recomend to all.
Real chill place! – This place is sooo chill and diverse. You don't any pretentioness from LA anywhere! Since I work weekends I go to Bingo Sundays and it's really fun. Having a buzz and playing bingo is awesome and while watching weird 8mm stock footage. Their speacialty drinks are delicious like the Girl Scout and the Toasted Marshmellow. Good mixed drinks and the service is great. Underneath the bar are hooks to hang your purse and coat if needed which is handy and you don't see that around in L.A. It's a good big bar too but on Saturdays it gets hoppin so come around 9pm for a good seat. I would highly recomend it so anyone who lives in L.A!
Good place to hang out and drink – Loving the scene, people are real, not the typical Hollywood crowd. The log cabin feel is right on. Drink prices are average.
Where Smokey the Bear and Woodsy Owl go to quench their mighty thirsts. – In Short
With one of the wittiest interiors in town, Bigfoot attracts folks who like to smirk while they imbibe. Foresty decor is taken to deliberately absurd extremes, with logs everywhere, an animatronic raccoon in a stump, custom signs for the Sasquatch National Forest, decanters shaped like bears and fish, and stuffed critters all around. Rockabilly guys and girls, along with hipsters from nearby Silver Lake.
this place is amazing! i love it because the service is great and you don't feel like your in LA. there is absolutely no pretentiousness at this bar... if your into tattooed chicks and PBR well, you have found mecca... the drinks are stout and not too expensive... for me, the best thing about this bar is the music and the people. the mix of people may lean a bit heavily on the rockabilly crowd. BUT there are enough others that mix in as well... i LOVE that i can go to the bigfoot lodge and hear my favorite punk rock songs of my adolescence, like the misfits and the dead kennedys intermixed with 80s hair metal and new wave. love it!
Interesting Atmosphere – Lighting and atmosphere is very relaxing, seems like cool people frequent this bar.
bigfoot tuesday nights – if i was a single gal i'd be at bigfoot trying to get my swerve on all the time! i had never been there so my boyfriend and i decided to check it out. we walked right in and up to the bar and got served great drinks immediately. the prices were pretty average - not too bad - and while we were sitting down in the booth - a polite waitress got us drinks right away. great service overall! + i heard tuesdays nights at bigfoot are the best.
Great decor, good music, average drinks – Drinks are a little pricy and a little weak. Not too crowded, and I liked every other song they played, a good mix. I had to set myself on fire to get a bartender to serve me on more than one occasion. Nice sized booths for large groups. Great place to stop in for a couple of drinks, wouldn't want to post up here all night, though.
THE BEST! – Love this bar because of the location (eastside), the lack of pretension, the great bartenders, the great music every night, great drink specials too.
Fun decor, comfy booths, low light so you look good. It's all there and more.
Sasquatch beware! – Ehhh . . . it's a great atmosphere, however the people are Pretentious. The bartenders always seem to look right past me. Keep in mind I have been here many times. The music is really good! drinks ok.
Definately worth a visit!!! – We went here not knowing what to expect and we loved it!! This place definately doesn't look like much from outside but wait till you get inside. I loved the atmosphere but swanky this place is not. Once inside, you'll feel like you're out in the woods in a cabin or something. The way they have this place set up is very comfortable and relaxing. We had a great time and their drinks were great too!
Smokey says "Drink!" – I love this bar, I just wish more people did. This place is often dead on weekdays, which is a shame because they have great drink specials, awesome DJs and some kind of animatronic woodland creature. They also have unique drinks and good beers on tap. The place is full of rockabilly types and the DJ is spins an eclectic mix. Basically, this place is awesome, but it would be nice if I could go on a Wednesday night and not be the only one there.
A rockabilly's paradise – This place is alright if you enjoy hanging out with James Dean wannabee types. Alot of rockabilly / 80's sort of people frequent this place. Personally not my cup of tea. Parking is also quite difficult to find. My party had to park their geo prism's out on the neighboring street. After 1 hour of feeling out of place I convinced my cadre of deviants to exit this watering hole of social inadequates. Just wasn't my scene is all. Highly recommended to anybody who loves Robert Smith, Social Distortion, and what have you.
The Lodge rocks! – This is hands down one of the coolest bars I've been to in LA, and I've been to them all. The staff at the Bigfoot were all super friendly and fast, which is a rarity in LA. The drinks were great and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere here is a given and the music was awesome. Definitely a place you'll find yourself going back to again and again.
$4 PBR??!!! – This bar used to be really great, but the quality of the clientele and the entertainment has really declined in the past couple years. Despite what the description claims, they don't have live music anymore. The drinks are way too expensive, $6.50 for a cocktail, and $4 for a PBR??!! Ok, so the cocktails are almost reasonable, but why on earth is the PBR so expensive?
Go check it out, it's worth it just to see the spectacular job they did on decor, but don't expect to stay long....
Bigfoot Rocks – We Loved it! I highly recommend it. The decor was way too cool and the vibe was very welcoming.
New Favorite Bar – I love the ambience of the Bigfoot. The music is the best and there were quite a few single girls the night my friends and I went. Clean restrooms are always a plus too.
woodsy – I have never seen an interior as cool as this. These guys went all out. Feels like you are up in the mountains with a swanky Hollywood flair
Powergurl – I had been wanting to check out the Bigfoot Lodge for a while since I had been hearing a lot about it from friends. It was definitely a great bar that I'll go back to. The decor and crowd give the Lodge a really good vibe. Our bartender was super nice to us (imagine that in LA?). We had a really fun time.
Maybe if I was 21 again.... – I think if I wanted to go back to college I would head to Bigfoot more often. Lack of exciting people, lack of any fun...the only decent thing was the DJ. Wish I could've taken him with me in my car! Will NOT be going back again...
